Jiuzhaigou One-Day Cultural Festival Experience Tour

Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve, located in Jiuzhaigou County of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, China, is one of the country’s most renowned natural scenic areas. Known as a “fairyland on earth” and a “living fairy tale world,” it is named after the nine Tibetan villages scattered throughout the valley. In 1992, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and later became one of the first scenic areas in China to be designated as a National 5A Tourist Attraction.

🌟 Highlights of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area

🏞 Stunning Lakes

Jiuzhaigou is world-famous for its over 100 crystal-clear lakes, each with unique colors and reflections. These lakes are fed by underground springs and glacial meltwater, giving them a surreal, mirror-like quality.

  • Five-Flower Lake: Known as the “soul of Jiuzhaigou,” this lake features vibrant shades of blue, green, and yellow, with submerged tree trunks clearly visible.

  • Mirror Lake: On calm days, the surface becomes perfectly still, reflecting the surrounding mountains and forests like a natural mirror.

  • Long Lake: The largest and deepest lake in Jiuzhaigou, located at the highest altitude, offering stunning views year-round.

💦 Magnificent Waterfalls

The valley is home to numerous cascading waterfalls that change dramatically with the seasons.

  • Nuorilang Waterfall: One of the widest highland waterfalls in China, known for its powerful flow and scenic surroundings.

  • Pearl Shoal Waterfall: Water flows over a wide rock terrace, creating a curtain of splashing drops that resemble strings of pearls.

🌲 Pristine Forests and Rich Biodiversity

Over 80% of Jiuzhaigou is covered by dense forests, home to rare species such as the giant panda and golden snub-nosed monkey. The area’s diverse vegetation ranges from temperate to alpine zones, providing breathtaking natural beauty throughout the year.

🏡 Authentic Tibetan & Qiang Culture

The reserve is named after nine traditional Tibetan villages found within the valley. Visitors can explore local homes, experience folk customs, and see prayer flags, Mani stones, and Tibetan-style architecture that reflect the region’s deep spiritual heritage.
